Meet Nicole Benton, Au.D., FAAA

Nicole Benton, Au.D., FAAA, is a native of Northern Virginia. She grew up in Springfield, VA, and returned to the area after finishing her doctorate in 2018. Dr. Benton earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Special Education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, and completed her Doctorate in Audiology, cum laude, at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA.

Before joining Lesner Hearing Center, Dr. Benton worked with a Neuro-Otologist at an Ear, Nose & Throat physician’s office. During her five years there, Dr. Benton served both pediatric and adult populations. She had extensive training in diagnosing and treating all types of hearing loss and disorders of the ear. That included balance assessments, cochlear implants, tinnitus management, hearing aid selection and fitting, and cerumen (earwax) removal. Dr. Benton has also volunteered with the Special Olympics performing hearing screenings.

Dr. Benton enjoys keeping up to date on the latest advancements from each hearing aid manufacturer. She uses best practices with innovative technology to create personalized and individualized solutions for her patients’ hearing needs. She is passionate about the positive impact of good hearing health on the whole body and fostering communication between friends and family with the help of the latest technology to improve a person’s quality of life. Dr. Benton is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. She is licensed to practice audiology and dispense hearing aids in Virginia.

When she is not working, she is spending time with her husband, daughter and their dog. Dr. Benton loves cheering on the Washington Nationals and Seattle Seahawks!
